Working from Newcastle, NSW, Pablo Tapia is a Chilean-born artist whose practice explores the visible and invisible dimensions of human experience. Through symbolic imagery and still life works, he creates paintings that invite reflection on beauty, meaning, and the deeper currents that shape our lives.

Raised in Chile during the 1970s and 1980s, Tapia was influenced by a landscape of dramatic contrasts and a culture rich in both Spanish and Indigenous traditions. Since making Australia his home in the late 1990s, he has continued a lifelong engagement with art as a means of understanding the world and our place within it.
